Reduce Operational Spending

The ever-increasing pressure on operators to maintain CATV network services whilst reducing operational costs, coupled with the OEM’s resistance to offer repair services for DOCSIS 2.0 and DOCSIS 3.0 equipment, can leave network providers with difficult decisions to make. The OEM’s are trying to force the operators down the route of purchasing new equipment, and where possible, trying to convince them to upgrade networks to DOCSIS 3.1.

It is not in the manufacturers interests to repair older technologies for customers. Whilst the debate goes on between the benefits of DOCSIS 3.1 or FTTH migration, operators still need to maintain and expand their existing network infrastructures.

Comtek are a specialist electronic repair organisation and have a great deal of experience in repairing CATV HFC/RF equipment, working with some of Europe’s largest operators. Repairing equipment costs a fraction of replacing it with new, it is greener, better for the environment, and can significantly reduce operational cost, allowing organisations to sweat their assets and gain maximum return on investment.
