Comtek is honoured to again support and attend the Wales Media Awards as this year’s headline sponsor. The event, which takes place on Friday 31st March 2017 honours the best in journalism and will see entries from print, broadcast and online journalists from all over Wales. The awards also include sections for students and young journalists to enter and present their work.
Comtek had no hesitation in sponsoring the awards hosted by the Journalists Charity and is thrilled to be the headline sponsor for such a worthwhile event. These awards continue to highlight all that is best about journalism in Wales and Comtek as a group are looking forward to being an integral part of such an amazing event. Supporting the Wales Media Awards is a great way to help promote the success and hard work of these individuals and the fantastic news about what the Journalists’ charity – and the people involved – are achieving.
The Journalists’ Charity was founded in 1864 by a group of journalists including Charles Dickens. It is a well-established leading organisation for journalists in need. The charity provides journalists and their dependants with practical and financial advice, grants and other forms of financial aid due to sickness, accidents or other unforeseen circumstances.
The awards will be presented at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff and will be hosted by Sky News broadcaster and journalist Dermot Murnaghan. The evening will celebrate the most influential journalist sharing their best work and ensuring that the quality of Welsh journalism is recognised.
